Lycée Français International Jacques Prévert D’Accra holds open day on February 17

The Management of Lycée Français International Jacques Prévert d’Accra, formerly Ecole Française and popularly known as the French School, has announced Saturday 17th February 2024 as the date for this year’s edition of its annual Open Day event.

Open Day is a day set aside by the school authorities to host members of the general public as well as all other relevant stakeholders to give them a deeper insight into the school’s academic structure and other processes.

The event is scheduled to take place between 9 am and 12 12noon, where members of the general public will be hosted by the management of the school with a special guided tour to inspect the school’s facilities.

In addition, there will be interaction sessions with the various trained and experienced teachers of the school and other professional staff on a wide range of subject areas including academics, extracurricular activities, and the well-being of the students.

There will also be a presentation on the school’s curriculum which is centered on developing strong analytical skills, oral communication, autonomy, sense of organization, and reasoning.

As the only French-accredited international school in Ghana, Lycée Français International Jacques Prévert d’Accra has a multicultural and diverse student population and environment which will be experienced firsthand by guests at the Open Day.

Lycee Francais International Jacques Prevert is part of a network of 566 schools in 138 countries and aims to produce future citizens of the world. The school offers students the opportunity to learn and practice several languages and to take part in a wide range of educational projects and schemes so that they can all develop and practice the skills they have learned in the classroom.

With a complete program from nursery to the final year of high school, LFIA prepares students to get excellent results in the French Baccalaureate exams, and in other French and English language certificates, leading to further studies in the best French and international schools and universities.

Commenting on the Open Day, the Principal of the school, Ms. Catherine Dauer indicated that the school is celebrating its 60 years of existence, starting from just twenty students when it was founded, to a current population of more than 700 students aged 3 to 18, from nursery to final year.

The management of Lycée Français International Jacques Prévert d’Accra entreats the general public to attend the Open Day on Saturday 17th February 2024 happening at the school premises located at East Legon, not far from GT- bank or Miklin Hotel from 9 am to 12noon.
