The Member of Parliament for Akrofuom Constituency, Alex Blankson, dedicated two days to distributing mathematical sets to all 2024 BECE candidates in his area.

He also mentioned his tradition of providing chop boxes, trunks, and mattresses to bright but needy BECE candidates in previous years, which he plans to continue this year.

Accompanied by the District Director of Education and some of his constituency executives, the MP initiated this effort to support the candidates in their academic endeavors.

The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has announced that all necessary measures have been implemented for the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for final-year Junior High School students in Ghana.

During a press briefing in Accra on Friday, July 5, 2024, the Head of Public Affairs of WAEC, John Kabi, stated that the 2024 BECE would start on Monday, July 8, 2024, with English Language and conclude on Monday, July 15, 2024, with Arabic.

He mentioned that nearly 57,000 candidates would participate in the examination, which will take place at over 2,000 centers across the country.
