220-million cedis School block for the Gomoa District

The Gomoa District Assembly has approved the construction of a 220-million-cedi new six-classroom block for the Gomoa-Yeenkuadzee Primary School.

Nana Enukumah, Chief of the town, said the project formed part of a number of Ghana/European Union micro project being implemented for nine communities in the Gomoa District.

The chief was speaking at a project planning committee meeting at Gomoa Yenkuadze during which January 28, was fixed for the commencement of the annual Akwambo festival of the people of the area.

The meeting called for a special fund-raising harvest during the festival to generate funds to support the district assembly to implement various projects.

Nana Enukumah said the people have constructed a 21-million cedis KVIP through self-help and commended the assembly for the material and financial assistance.

He appealed to all non-residents citizens of the area to attend the festival to enable them contribute towards the development of the community.
