Abomosu Presby appeals for computers, learning aids

The Abomosu Presbyterian Primary “A” and “B” School in the Atiwa District of the Eastern Region, on Friday appealed to the government and benevolent organisations to assist the school with computers, to help make the children computer-literate.

Making the appeal through the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at the school’s premises at Abomosu, Mr. Daniel Acheampong, Head teacher of the primary school, stated that, currently, the school has few teaching aids and one computer in its furnished laboratory.

He described the situation as highly difficult for the pupils to cope with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) studies. He appealed to those who have the school at heart to donate computers to stock the laboratory.

The Head teacher also made a passionate appeal to the government to endeavor to increase the Head teachers Responsibility Allowance from GHC1to an appreciable amount, since the current allowance is negligible.
