The leaders of the Abudu and Andani youth associations have visited the Regent of Dagbon, Kampakuya Na, as well as the Yo Na, the Zohi Na and the Bolin Lana, in relation to the upcoming royal funerals in Dagbon in the Northern Region.

The visits form part of efforts by the groups to sensitise the people ahead of the commencement for the funeral rites of the late Ya Na Mahamadu Abdulai IV on Friday, 14 December 2018 to 28 December 2018 as announced by the Committee of Eminent Chiefs chaired by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

This will be followed by the funeral rites of the late Ya Na Abdulai Yakubu Andani II on 4 January 2019 to 18 January 2019.

Alhaji Mugisu Sibawey, President of the Abudu Youth Association, stated that there is no feud between the two royal families.

He told Class91.3FM’s Northern Regional Correspondent, Mohammed Gadafi that the leadership of the Abudu and Andani youth associations visited the chiefs to speak on the need for peace and the full implementation of the roadmap.

He believes none of the elders opposes the processes and further appealed to the youth and residents to unite and participate in the performance of the two royal funerals of Ya Na Mahamadu Abdulai IV and Ya Na Abdulai Yakubu Andani II.

He believes the roadmap is the surest way for development in the Dagbon state and the entire Northern Region.
