Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam To Get Five SIF Projects

The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District is to benefit from five projects under the Social Investment Fund (SIF), Mr. Kenneth Obempong, District Chief Executive (DCE) announced on Tuesday. Addressing a workshop for assembly members, chiefs, heads of department, representatives of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and other stakeholders, Mr. Obempong said the projects would constitute the priorities of the various beneficiary communities.

He said the assembly had provided 100 million cedis as its committal fee to participate in the programme and expressed the hope that communities would take advantage of the SIF programme to improve their living standards.

The DCE later inaugurated an eight member District sub-Project Review and Approval Committee headed by Mr. Kojo Ampiah-Biney, Presiding Member of the Assembly. He urged Assembly members and Unit Committee members to rekindle the self-help spirit among their people to participate fully in projects earmarked for their communities under the programme.
