The Member of Parliament for Yendi, Farouk Aliu Mahama, has praised the Nanana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government for significantly improving the road network in his constituency.
As the Chairman of the Government Assurance Committee, he highlighted the government's commendable efforts in road construction, emphasizing the positive impact on local infrastructure.
During a committee meeting on Tuesday, July 16, where the Minister of Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso-Boakye, appeared before the committee, Farouk Mahama expressed his satisfaction with the progress made.
He acknowledged the government's commitment to enhancing road networks and urged continued efforts in this direction.
He further emphasized the importance of extending these infrastructure improvements to other regions that have yet to fully benefit.
He also urged the government to ensure that all areas receive their fair share of development projects.
In his view, robust road infrastructure is crucial for the country's development, and the government's achievements in this sector are noteworthy.
He encouraged sustained investment in road construction to further boost national growth and connectivity.
The Minister of Roads, Francis Asenso-Boakye, received the commendation positively, assuring the committee of the government's ongoing dedication to improving road networks across Ghana.
"The road sector plays a significant role in the development of this country. As the chairman of this committee (Government Assurrance Committee) let me frank that roads in Yendi has improved significantly under this government.
