Nana Agyenim Boateng, the newly enstooled Mrantehene of Apedwa, has called on all citizens of Akyem Apedwa to unite and help attract development to the area.
He said without unity and peace, much could not be achieved, hence the need for all to promote peace.
Nana Boateng was speaking to the media after he had sworn an oath to the Apedwahene, Osabarima Frempong Manso II at Apedwa in the Eastern Region.
He assured the chiefs and people in the area of his desire to promote development to help raise Apedwa to its past glory.
Nana Boateng, 42, is known in private life as Alexander Kwaku Boateng and he is a businessman.
Until his enstoolment, he was the President of the Apedwa Youth Association and has championed many development projects in the area.
Some of the projects he championed include rehabilitation of the Apedwa Clinic, upgrading of the town roads and putting up of street lights in the community.
The Apedwahene Osbarima Frempong Manso II called on the new Mrantehene to discharge his duties effectively and efficiently so that the people will benefit from his leadership.
He commended him for his contribution to the development of Apedwa.
Apedwa is located at the Western part of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area and the people there are regarded as the traditional soldiers and guards of the Ofori Panin stool.
