For Ayirebi folks, there was a reason to be happy as a protracted chieftaincy dispute had finally come to an end.

Addressing the press and residents, Nana Asare Duodu Gyimah III said: “A new day has dawned for Ayirebi. The town is just on the brink of experiencing unprecedented strides.”

The Ayirebihene outlined a five (5) point strategy to help push Ayirebi forward.

These include instituting a scholarship fund, constructing roads, providing mass education on sanitation, and establishing a modern market.

I will pursue a sensitization programme and establish a scholarship fund to
increase access to secondary and tertiary schools,” he said.

Touching on educating the people on sanitation, the newly outdoored chef said, "I will pursue a sensitization program on sanitation to help improve the overall environmental health and sanitation of Ayirebi and its inhabitants”.

I will cooperate with the government to increase the number of motorable roads in and around Ayirebi. I will raise funds and build a modern market to augment trade in Akyem Ayirebi. Considering the division that existed before my installation, I will bridge gaps and foster unity amongst townfolks so we can all join hands and build Akyem Ayirebi for the future of our children”.

Born Kwadwo Gyimah in 1968 to Samuel Oduro and Obaapanin Yaa Tenewaa, Nana Asare Duodu Gyimah III was the sixth child of 8 children in the family.
