The Ankobeahemaa of Amanokrom in the Akuapem North, Nana Okrakubea, has launched a three-year development programme estimated at ?250 million for the people of Amanokrom.
The projects include building museums for chieftaincy matters and musical instruments for children. She and some donors are funding the projects.
Nana Okrakubea has cut a sod for work to start on a drainage system in some parts of the town to check flooding and this formed the first phase of the project.
She said the next Odwira festival would complete work.
The second phase of the project would include building museums to serve as monuments for the people.
The projects are my contribution to the development of the area and hoped jobs will be created for the people of the town.
She said since the Akuapem Ridge abounds in eco-tourism, there was the need to develop it to attract tourists.
Nana Okrakubea expressed her gratitude to the Ghana Textile Printing, Paramount Distilleries, Ghana Cement Company and GESTAUA, a Construction firm, for their contribution to the project.
