As part of the measures to ensure that the various assemblies complete their street naming and property numbering exercises as directed by the President, the Aowin District Assembly, with support from the Aowin traditional authority and other stakeholders, has completed the exercise.
As at the time of reporting, all streets, avenues, close, loops and high streets had been named, with all signposts erected.
The District Chief Executive and the media went round to inspect the erected signposts at the designated places in the district capital, Enchi.
Some of the names were Dr. Busiah Street, Anoor Assemah High Street, Captain Kwallah Close, Allubulu Street, Nana Brentu Street, and Awulae Boafo Ndaa Street among others.
Briefing the media, the District Chief Executive for Aowin, Mr. Oscar Ofori Larbi, said he was very enthused seeing all the approved lanes, streets, closes, highways, and avenues approved at the stakeholders meeting, with the signposts mounted with the appropriate names.
He said commendations should be given to the Aowin Traditional Council and who matters for ensuring that the exercise was successful.
The exercise, the DCE pointed out, had really added more value to the district capital, and appealed to all, especially, traders, not to use any unauthorised structures to block the lanes.
The District Planning Officer and focal person of the street address team applauded all those who assisted in diverse ways in bringing the exercise to completion.
