Apostolic Church elects Apostle Adotey as President

Accra, March 14, GNA -The National Council of Apostolic Church- Ghana has elected Apostle John Annan Adotey as the new President of the Church. He was elected at the 70th Annual Council meeting to take over from Apostle Joseph Anim who retires on Sunday July 30, this year.

A statement issued in Accra on Tuesday and signed by Pastor K. B. Denson, General Secretary of the Church said, the President-elect was the recent past Head of the Ghana National Office of the West African Examination Council (WAEC). It said Apostle Adotey was ordained a Pastor of the Church in 1990 and as an Apostle of the Church in 2003.

The statement said Apostle Adotey served in various capacities as Director of the National Witness Movement from 1990 -1998 and for several years, the Pastor in-charge of the Adabraka District and later on transferred to take charge of the Keneshie District of the Church. Apostle Adotey was for several years a Council member of the Bible Society of Ghana. The statement said Apostle Adotey would be inducted into office on Sunday, July 30 in Accra.
