A devastating accident has occurred at Atwima Denkyemuoso in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region, leaving one person dead and another severely injured.

According to eyewitnesses, a KIA Pride with registration number GS-3310-19 lost control while traveling from Atwima Takyiman to Kwadaso, crashing into a crowd of people in front of a spot at Atwima Denkyemuoso.

The gory accident occurred on Sunday, September 1, 2024, around 10:00 p.m.

The Assembly Member for Atwima Takyiman/Denkyemuoso Electoral Area, David Asare, confirmed the incident in an interview with OTEC News reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng.

He reported that the deceased, 42-year-old Kwaku Adutwum, popularly known as Boutique, died upon arrival at the hospital.

Another victim, identified as 30-year-old Tico, survived the accident but suffered severe injuries to both legs.

The driver involved in the accident has been arrested by the police and is assisting with investigations.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with residents expressing their condolences to the families of the victims.
