The Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly has made significant strides in managing its resources, reducing inherited audit infractions from 87 to 1 in four years.

Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Kennedy Kankam, disclosed this on Kumasi-based OTEC 102.9 FM's afternoon political show, Dwabrem on Friday, August 23, 2024.

He attributed this achievement to prudent management of the assembly's resources, noting that the institution has transformed from being one of the worst in terms of financial irregularities to one of the best in protecting the public purse.

He credited this turnaround to the governing New Patriotic Party's (NPP) commitment to fighting corruption, ensuring that public funds are used judiciously.

Kennedy Kankam pledged to continue working towards this goal, demonstrating his dedication to transparency and accountability.

This remarkable improvement highlights the assembly's efforts to ensure efficient management of resources and maintain public trust.
