Keta, (V/R) June 14, GNA - Mr. Edward Kofi Ahiabor, 42, the President's nominee for District Chief Executive (DCE) of Keta on Monday received the endorsement of all members present at the District Assembly's extraordinary meeting at Keta.
All 67 of the 69-member assembly present voted in favour of Mr. Ahiable in a poll supervised by Volta Regional officials of the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC). He urged the DCE to always have members of the assembly in mind when it comes to the distribution of social relief funds. Mr. Dzamesi also asked the DCE never to delay the portion of the district assembly's common fund due to Members of Parliament (MPs) in the area.
Mr. Kofi Humado, MP for Anlo described Mr. Ahiabor as a good material but noted that he required the support of everyone to perform. Mr. Ahiabor, a Micro-Irrigation Development Expert, described the approval as the show of solidarity with him and thanked them for the trust reposed in him.
