The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Atwima Nwabiagya South constituency in the Ashanti region, Hon. Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere, has for the third time, toured parts of his constituency to inspect ongoing developmental projects initiated by him.
The tour, according to him, was to afford him the opportunity to appraise the level of progress of some of the projects and also to brief his constituents about some of the social interventions he intend to implement in the various communities.
Some communities he visited with his executives include Nkawie Panin, Gyankobaa, Nkaakrom, Nkawie Kumaa and Atwima Akrofrom.
During the tour, Hon. Agyei Anhwere interacted with the chiefs and people and discussed issues bothering on development agenda which included roads, security, sanitation, water, health and education.
Hon. Anhwere at Atwima Akrofrom inspected a collapsed bridge and promised to construct it to connect Akrofrom and other adjourning communities.
The MP also inspected a yet to be completed three- unit classroom block which he pledged to complete for them before the end of 2018.
Speaking in an interview with with Otec News’ Jacob Agyenim Boateng after the tour, Hon. Agyei Anwhere expressed his profound gratitude to the chiefs and people for the confidence imposed in him by re-electing him to Parliament and promised to work with them to improve their standard living.
“I know you have confidence in me that was why you voted me again to Parliament, and I will make sure your trust in me will not be betrayed. I will do everything possible in my reach to make sure your welfare are protected and raised,” he assured them.
The MP expressed worry about the sharp decline in educational standards in some of the communities and urged all stakeholders to take measures to address the situation.
“Is so serious that the standard of education in the constituency has fallen and it is a great concern for us all. I will in no time call for a stakeholders meeting to find out some workable solutions to raise the falling standard,” he said.
