Awutu/Senya Assembly builds more schools

Mr Sampson Abbey Armah, the District Chief Executive for Awutu/Senya, has said the Assembly had shifted its main focus on education since 2013.

He said the move was aimed at producing more highly qualified citizens for speedy socio-economic, scientific and cultural development of the district under the name “Knowledge Acquisition-based Community.”

Mr Armah, who made this known when he addressed the people of the district at a forum, said the Assembly had in the past two years completed more primary and senior high school projects..

He mentioned Awutu-Bawjiase, Bontrase, Akpeteshie-Nkwanta, Awuttu Beraku, Kofi Ansah and Kwao Bonney communities as beneficiaries of the completed school buildings.

In addition to these, the Assembly is also constructing new school blocks for the people of Awutu-Obodakaba, Manyenda, Dankwa, Adawukwa and Bentum communities.

The Assembly is putting up three-unit semi-detached bungalow for teachers at Awutu District Assembly and Kofi Ansah Primary schools.

Mr Armah said similarly, Senya-Breaku AME Zion ‘C’ Junior High, Awutu-Chochoo Aglican Primary and Olotom Primary schools would also be provided with new school blocks this year.

He appealed to parents in the district to take their children’s education seriously by encouraging them to embrace education right from nursery stage.

By so doing, he said, they would be helping the assembly and the government to produce the much needed qualified nation builders.

Mr Armah called for unity, co-operation and hard work from all Awutu and Senya Beraku citizens irrespective of their political affiliations to accelerate the development of the district.
