Beauty Queens Foundation(BQF), an outfit housing the various beauty Queens in the country has for the second time running extended a hand to mothers who delivered on Mother’s Day (last Sunday).
The Foundation presented various items worth hundreds of Cedis to the Amasaman Government Hospital, near Pokuase.
The items included toiletries, boxes of sweets, biscuits, corned beef etc.
Founder and President, Beauty Queens Foundation Miss Afua Asantewaa Ofosu (Miss Tourism Ghana 2014, 2nd Princess), who was accompanied by Grace Obiri Antwi(Miss IPMC 2014) in a post-donation interview told newsmen that “We have taken it upon ourselves to reach out to our cherished mothers who deliver on non other day than a day set aside to celebrate mothers.
“We most often forget mothers who deliver on this special day in our various hospitals and maternity homes, hence this initiative.
“It’s more than a privilege to be a mother, so am urging all young ladies to deliver no matter the circumstance because no one knows what God has blessed the unborn baby with.
“I am not condoning promiscuity, but let’s eschew abortion, there is no feeling like being a mother.”
The hospital administrator Adelaide Setordji expressed profuse thanks to the donors for the support saying, “This will certainly go a long way in putting smile on the faces of the mothers who delivered today and the last few days. We are most grateful to our beauty queens"
The donation received massive support from Royal Sweets Limited(Akono) and Oro Washing Powder and Soap.
