Best BOASS female student to enjoy free university education

Dunkwa-On-Offin, Jan 14, GNA-The best female student in this year's Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) at Boa Amponsem Secondary School at Dunkwa-On-Offin in the Central Region will enjoy free university education.

An old student of the school who pledged the offer has therefore, directed the headmaster, Mr Isaac K. Appiah to notify him as soon as the 2004 results are released.

Mr Kingsley Gyenin-Nuamah, the old student and a member of the Obuasi Chapter of the school's Old Students Association, announced the package when the chapter paid a visit to the school.

The chapter presented a cheque for eight million cedis to the school for the purchase of additional student beds, inspected on-going projects, dined with the students and played a football match with the staff.

Mr Gyenin-Nuamah, who is resinent in the USA, appealed to the students to sturdy hard.

He expressed happiness about the new developments taking place in the school and asked the students to co-operate with the new administration by being disciplined on campus.

Mr. Emmanuel Sagoe, the President of the Obuasi Chapter, appealed to the students to help raise the image of BOASS by avoiding rioting and indecent dressing.

The headmaster recognised the role old students play in improving secondary education in the country and expressed satisfaction about the initiative of the Obuasi chapter.

Mr Appiah said the rehabilitation of the existing girl's dormitory and the construction of a new one are the pressing needs of the school and appealed to other old students to come to the school's aid.
