Black Stars Jubilation Wa

At Wa, the Upper West Regional Police Command on Thursday deployed a number of Policemen into the Wa Municipality to ensure an incident free Black Stars' victory celebration. That notwithstanding, the fans were able to mobilize a brass band that enabled them to take over the principal streets of the Municipality for over two hours drumming, singing and dancing.

The use of the brass band, however, prevented the motorcyclists from their usual speed riding after matches reminiscent of that of the World cup competition currently underway in Germany. A lot more others celebrated in their own ways in various drinking spots that the GNA visited.

At KG Spot at Kambale in Wa, fans were seen drinking and dancing to music that was freely provided by the proprietor of the place. At Free Port, a popular spot in the heart of the Municipality, people who had money freely bought drinks for others to drink and dance to the music provided by Kwabena Sefah, Senior Manager of the Spot.
