Bloodshed looms in Central region

The Royal Aboradzi No 1 family of Gomoa Abaasa in the Central Region has threatened to cause mayhem in the area if the Apostolic Church-Ghana continues to transact business with the destooled Ebusuapanyin, Kofi Aboagye.

The threat is in relation to the said purchase of the family land by the church from the destooled ebusuapanyin.

The members of the family contend that they would deal drastically with anybody or organization who attempts to move onto the land.

According to them, the ebusuapanyin had properly been destooled by the family since May 6, 2015 and that anybody who does any business with him does so at his or her own risk.

This was contained in a release in Cape Coast and signed by a family elder, Kwesi Fenyi and an ex-chief of the area, Nana Kobina Ansah.

The family accused the destooled ebusuapanyin of not accounting for proceeds from the sale of family lands, embezzlement of funds belonging to the family, not uniting the members and not maintaining the integrity of the family.

He is also alleged to be refusing to honour invitations to attend family meetings.

They indicated that plans were underway to nominate a candidate as the head of the family.
