Dr Abdul-Nashiru Issahaku, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, has advocated the need for all to invest in the education of their children as a means of securing their future.
He stated this when delivering a speech during the congregation of the Anbariya Islamic Institute in Tamale where 263 students graduated with diplomas and certificates in Arabic and Islamic Studies.
Dr Issahaku said parents should show interest in their children’s education by providing their basic needs as well as visiting the schools to enquire about their children’s performance.
He underscored the importance of education emphasising that efforts must be made to ensure that every child attains the best of education.
He urged the state and parents to partner to deliver quality education for all.
Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini, Deputy Northern Regional Minister commended the private sector for collaborating with government to ensure quality education remained accessible to all.
Alhaji Fuseini asked all to work towards peaceful elections this year.
Alhaji Mohammed Haroun, Regional Director of Education, advised parents to treat their male and female children equally by sending all to school.
Sheikh Sa-eed Abubakar Zakaria, Leader of Anbariya Sunni Community and Director of Anbariya Islamic Institute assured of the Institute’s commitment to promote peace and development in the country.
