Bosomtwe MP visits schools in six communities

Beposo (Ash), Feb. 4, GNA - Mr Simon Osei-Mensah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bosomtwe, on Friday visited schools in six communities in his constituency to interact with teachers and the pupils.

The communities were Nyameani, Asisiriwa, Mim-Pipie, Brodekwano, Konkoma and Beposo.

At separate meetings with the school authorities, Mr Osei-Mensah said his visit was aimed at ascertaining first hand information on the state of infrastructure and to brainstorm with them on possible solutions to their problems.

The MP said he would soon meet the chiefs and other stakeholders in the constituency on how to develop the area on a fast note. At Nyameani, Nana Owusu Panin Adusei II, chief of Nyameani, commended the MP for his vision towards his support for education and urged him to keep it up since that was the surest way of eliminating illiteracy and poverty in the area.

The MP later inspected work on the new dining hall and ICT centre of the Beposo Secondary School, which is being built from his share of the common fund and pledged 50 bags of cement towards its completion. Mr Stephen Owusu Agyemang, Headmaster of the school, appealed to the MP to assist it to acquire a new school bus through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), which would help solve their transportation problem and also sink a borehole to solve the school water problem.
