Brongahafonews.com - The Management of IMT-Ghana, operators of brongahafonews.com, the website of the Brong-Ahafo Region, has donated items valued at over five million cedis to the Brong-Ahafo Regional Office of the National Disaster Management Organisation(NADMO), for onward distribution to victims of the recent floodings in the northern parts of the country.
The items were used clothings solicited from the public in response to appeals to assist the flood victims and presented on behalf of the company by Mr Victor Mensah - PRO, Mr Francis Appiah - CEO, Miss Harriet Adu Twumwaa - Secretary and Mr Francis Owusu-Ansah -Supervising Editor.
Receiving the donation, the Co-ordinator for the Relief Items, Mr Alfred Yeboah, said the public response to appeals to assist the flood victims has not been encouraging. He therefore urged the public to give generously to alleviate the plight of the people affected by the floods
Mr Yeboah commended the management of brongahfonews.com for leading the crusade to rally support for the flood vitims and called on other organisations to assist in the exercise.
The CEO of brongahafonews, Mr Francis Appiah, said the company was deeply touhed by the plight of the people and pledged that "brongahfonews.com would continue to support the flood victims in whatever way possible".
He called on individuals and organisations in and outside the region to donate to the disaster fund fund set up by the Regional CoordinatingCouncil and NADMO.
The PRO, Mr Victor Mensah, urged the public, particularly those from the Brong-Ahafo region to patronise the site since " it has come to project the image of the region and its people".
