Emmanuel Kofi Peprah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Western World Company Limited, dealers in building materials, has donated ten water tanks to schools at Kwahu Pepease to help solve water challenges in the area.

Among the beneficiary schools are the St. Dominic's Senior High School, Pepease D/A school, Presbyterian JHS and Calvary Basic School.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Kwahu Pepease in the Kwahu East District, he said water scarcity in the community has been a major challenge facing inhabitants especially students and teachers, hence the donation.

Mr Peprah blamed the bad terrain of the area which make it difficult for people to invest in any water project which the community could benefit.

He expressed concern about the difficulties that school children go through daily in search of portable water before going to school.

This, he said, reduces contact hours between the students and their teachers and the situation becomes worse during the dry season.

Mr Peprah said he intends to liaise with other citizens in the community to support the improvement of the standard of education and provision of quality healthcare services in the area.

He called on other well to do citizens of the town to contribute their quota for the development of Kwahu Pepease.
