CSA presents calendars to partnership schools and communities

Ntribuoho (Ash), Feb. 2, GNA - Community School Alliances (CSA) project of the Quality Improvement in Primary Schools (QUIPS) programme under the USAID, is presenting calendars to all its partnership schools and communities throughout the country.

The calendar shows the various aspects of community participation activities undertaken in some selected partnership school communities. Presenting eight of such calendars to Ntribuoho primary school and the community in the Kwabre district on Monday, Mrs Elizabeth Opoku-Darko, Programmes Officer of CSA, hoped the calendars would serve as a reminder of the various "best practices" which would help to improve quality of education. She hoped that the calendars would also serve useful purposes for the children and the school.

Mr Paul Owusu-Ansah, assistant headteacher of Ntribuoho Primary school, who received the calendars, said they would be placed at the disposal of the children and the teachers.

Mr. Sampson Adu-Poku, assembly member for Ntribuoho electoral area, thanked CSA/QUIPS for their tremendous support towards the development of the school.

He stressed the need for USAID to continue to visit the school and the community to enhance effective teaching and learning. Mr Adu-Poku called on parents to monitor their children and assist the teachers to mould them to become useful citizens.
