Challenge season 4 outdoors the twelve finalists

After weeks of grueling tests and interviews, 12 finalists have made it to the Challenge season 4 competition for the ultimate prize of a Full Board Post graduate Scholarship at Robert Gordon University Aberdeen in Scotland, which was voted the best university in 2011.

The competition was opened to young enterprising Ghanaians with at least a second class upper degree or HND distinction.

The panel had a difficult task selecting the twelve challengers from the hundreds who trooped to the British Council Accra.

The Title sponsor Tigo and the British Council unveiled the final 12 contestants at a colorful ‘blue’ event that brought CEOs of all the sponsors, fans and well-wishers, as well as the media.

The 12 finalists’ each received laptop computers from IPMC, Blackberry phones and Internet modems with data preloaded from Tigo and souvenirs from Tigo and Robert Gordon University.

The other twelve who did not make it each took home Android touch screen mobile phones and other gifts from the title sponsor TIGO and Robert Gordon University.

The twelve challengers are Prince Anyetei Adjei, Felix Afutu, Deletsu Dennis Selase, Sharon-Rose Delali Lithur, Samuel Offei, Mafando Caesar, Afua Yeboah Coffie, Samaad Yussif, Desmond Hackman, Samuel Asante Benneh, Broni-Bediako Emmanuel and Florence Ziniel.

This year’s board members are Professor Audrey Gadzekpo –University of Ghana School of Communication, Mr. Albert Ocran- Legacy and Legacy and Professor Robert Hinson- University of Ghana Business School.

They expect the twelve challengers to exhibit a high level of confidence, intelligence and creativity and have also promised to be friendly in the board room. This year’s sponsors and donors include Databank, IPMC, Beige Capital, EPP Books and 2nd Image.

The Title sponsor TIGO, according to the Head Of Marketing Services, Mr. Tenu Awoonor, in his statement mentioned the relevance of the Challenge to their brand.

He said ‘developing young people is a core objective of the Tigo brand, adding “we are proud to partner with the British Council yet another year on the Challenge.”

These twelve challengers for the next thirteen weeks will be performing series of tasks which would test their creativity, innovation, leadership, intelligence, confident and entrepreneurship.

The Challenge 4 would air on TV every Sunday 3.30 p. m., on Ghone television and on GTV at 9.30 p. m., with the midweek series shown on Wednesday at 7.30 p. m., on Ghone Television.

Mid week airing time to be confirmed on GTV soon. Viewers are advised to text the names of their favorite challenger to short code 6012 to keep them in the competition.
