Obo-Kwahu, Jan. 18, GNA - The chiefs and elders of Obo- Kwahu, in the Eastern Region, have appealed to President John Agyekum Kufuor to use his second term in office to hasten the development of the area. A resolution signed by the Obohene (Chief of Obo) Osabarima Yeboah Afari Boagyan during the annual Akwasidae festival celebration at Obo, assured the President of the needed support and cooperation to ensure the success of his four -year term in office, in other to tackle his development agenda.
The resolution appealed for good roads network, especially the rehabilitation of the Twenedurase-Akwasiho link road and the completion of works on the Nkawkaw-Atibie-Mpraeso road.
It asked for the rehabilitation of Kwahu Water Works at Kotoso to end the affliction of water borne diseases on the people. The resolution appealed for the renovation and expansion of facilities at the Kwahu Ridge Secondary/Technical School at Obo.
