Chiefs, elders worried about indiscipline

Brahoho (B/A), Feb. 13, GNA- Community leaders and elders of Brahoho, near Nkoranza have expressed concern about acts of indiscipline by the youth in the area.

They complained that the youth showed no respect for anybody and rode bicycles without headlights in the night and at top speed and all efforts to stop them had proved futile.

Mr. Caxton Gyan Forkuo, President of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in the area told Ghana News Agency at Brahoho that could cause a fatal accident.

He expressed regret about the unchanged behaviour of the youth in spite of the national campaign against indiscipline.

"I wonder what the future holds for the area if the youth who are future leaders exhibit lawlessness".

Nana Sarpong Kumankuma, the Odikro, said a task force would be set up to arrest cyclists who would ride in the streets in the night without headlights for prosecution.

Nana Afia Dufie, queenmother of the area expressed concern about sexual promiscuity among teenagers in the area and urged parents to check the movements of their daughters.
