The Christian Council of Churches in Bole Township on Monday 11th May, 2020 payed a courtesy call to the Palace of the Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional area, Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso (I).

The Public Relations Office of the Christian Council Pastor Victor N. spoke on behalf of his colleagues at the Bolewura’s Palace explained that they came to greet the Bolewura and also introduce themselves to the palace, adding that they have a number of challenges in terms of land acquisition and registration.

The Chairman of the Christian Council of Churches on Bole Pastor Kwaku Amponsah pleaded with the traditional council to re-locate the cemetery in Bole for the Christian community as some people have encroached the cemetery for residential purposes.

Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso (I) thanked the Members of the Christian Council of Churches in Bole and encourage them to work hard to uplift the image of Bole in the area of education and health. Bolewura added that the main reasons for land litigation in Bole are buying land from unauthorized persons; failing to comply with rules on land sale; failing to do thorough due diligence on land before buying it and failing to register one’s interest inland.

Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso (I) urged the Christian council in Bole not to pay any money in the account of Customary lands Secretariat at the Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) Branch in Bole for land registration and transactions until further notice.

The Bolewura said the Christian institution in the Bole Traditional Area is not only an integral part of the development of the area but has always played a key role in the education and health development of his people.

“Our doors are open to any Christian church in the Bole Traditional Area who is interested in development based on the Traditions of the land”; the Bolewura said.
