Accra, Aug. 10, GNA - The Church of Pentecost on Thursday lauded the media, church leaders and sympathisers for their demonstration of solidarity and support following the attack on the life of its leader, Apostle Dr Michael Ntumy.
A statement issued by the Public Affairs Desk of the Church in Accra said the attempt was one of the many trials that confronted those who devoted their lives not only to spread the gospel but to see to the inculcation of Godly ideals in the affairs of mankind.
The statement said the General Council and the membership of the Church were grateful to God for delivering Apostle Ntumy from the hands of the would-be assassin and giving him a new lease of life to continue his good work in the name of the Lord.
It said the incident had galvanized the Church to stand together and remain focused in its task of projecting Christ as the only hope for the world.
The Church, therefore, called on all other Christian leaders to remain resolute in their chosen mission to bring Christ to the world.
