Senya-Beraku (C/R), May 27, GNA - Reverend Charles Budd, an American currently working with the Village of Hope Children's Home at Gomoa-Fetteh, near Senya-Beraku, has donated five computers and accessories valued at about 20 million cedis to the Senya-Beraku Secondary/Technical School.

Presenting the equipment to the school authorities, Rev. Budd said the donation was his personal contribution towards the development of the school.

He expressed the hope that the school management would ensure effective maintenance of the equipment so that they could serve the purpose for which they were donated. Mr A N P Koomson, Headmaster, on behalf of the school's Board of Directors, P.T.A. and management thanked Rev. Budd for the gesture and promised that the computers would be purposefully utilized. Mr Koomson said that the equipment had come at the right time because it would assist management to push forward plans to promote an information and communication technology (ICT) training programme the school was pursuing.

The Headmaster advised students to take advantage of the equipment to upgrade their knowledge in ICT. 27 May 07
