Construction work begin on dormitory and bungalow for Beposo SHS

The Energy Minister, Dr Joseph Oteng-Agyei, has cut the sod for work to begin on a boys’ dormitory and masters’ bungalow for the Beposo Senior High School (SHS) in the Bosomtwe District.

The two projects would cost GH¢1,385,640.00 and are being funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).

Dr Oteng-Agyei said it was the determination of government to promote accessibility and the quality of education adding that the buildings are expected to be ready in six months.

He said the focus should be on the development of schools’ infrastructure to enable more students to be enrolled.

The Minister, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the area, pledged to do more to bring development to the people if elected by the people.

He appealed to the people not to be swayed by the opposition New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) free SHS promise, describing it as just a campaign tool to deceive voters.

He advised the students to be disciplined and work hard on their books since that was the path to academic success.

Nana Kankam Boadu Apenteng II, the chief of Beposo, expressed his gratitude to the government for the project.
