DCE calls for sound hygienic practices

Winneba, Oct. 26, GNA - Captain Steve Kwamena Armah (Rtd), the Winneba District Chief Executive (DCE), on Saturday appealed to the people to ensure sound hygienic and environmental practices to keep them fit for national development.

The DCE warned that those who violated sanitation rules would be arrested and prosecuted.

Capt Armah was speaking after a clean-up exercise organised by the Student Wing of the University of Education, Winneba branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the Winneba Landing Beach. He said: "Prevention is better than to cure," adding that the country required healthy citizens to help implement development programmes.

The DCE commended the people for contributing to national development and asked them to ensure peace and stability for progress. The District Co-ordinating Director, Alhaji Ishak Asuru advised Sanitary Inspectors to intensify their work to ensure that the people kept their homes and the environmental clean.
