Deputy Education Minister receives chieftaincy title for selfless service

Deputy Education Minister, Alex Kyeremeh has received a chieftaincy title for his hard work and contribution towards the development of Techiman and its surrounding communities.
The Chief of Tuobodom, Nana Baffour Asare at a short ceremony held at Tuobodom conferred the title “Okatakyie” on Hon. Alex Kyeremeh who is also the Member of Parliament for the Techiman North Constituency. This followed the minister’s handing over of two 6-unit classroom blocks valued at GHC200, 000.00 each to the Tuobodom and Asueyi Communities.
The Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Pre-tertiary Education also donated an undisclosed amount of money towards the feeding of 970 pupils currently writing the Basic Education Certificate Examination as well as their invigilators after a tour of various education facilities within the Techiman North Constituency. He believes many of the candidates fail the all important exam due to hunger.
During the tour Hon. Alex Kyeremeh presented ten laptop computers each to the two new schools within the constituency to boost computer literacy.
The Deputy minister who was highly displeased with the high rate of teacher absenteeism cautioned teachers in the constituency strongly against the trend.
