The Deputy Minister of Education, Professor Kingsley Nyarko, has sent a goodwill message to candidates preparing for the Basic Education Certificate Examination that is set to start on Monday 8th June 2024.

The MP who was confident of the candidates' victory encouraged everyone to rely on what they had studied and be confident in their abilities.

According to the minister who is also the MP for the Kwadaso constituency, cheating to pass your exams has negative consequences. He added that it exposes people in their next chapter of education. He therefore entreated the students to desist from examination malpractices.

He also urged teachers and parents to encourage their wards. To the teachers, he said, there was a need for them to encourage the BECE candidates with words of motivation and also allay their fears.

He also called on the parents to allow their wards to learn, especially at this crucial time, instead of engaging them with numerous house chores.

"On behalf of the Minister of Education, Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, I wish all BECE Candidates across the country, a success in their examination. I believe this year they are going to pass exceedingly and even do better than the previous ones we've witnessed."

He said this in an exclusive interview with this reporter after he had graced the graduation ceremony of some female teacher trainees of the St. Louis Training College.

The minister who graced the occasion as a special guest, congratulated the newly graduated teacher trainees and urged them to put in their best when they get to the field, especially in this digital era where I.T dominates.

He also entreated them to be disciplined in terms of punctuality and good behaviours worthy of emulation by the children they teach.
