Aiyinasi (W/R), Jan. 2, GNA - The Deputy Minister for Energy, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has presented assorted items worth about GH¢1= 3,000 to over 500 children from 45 towns and villages.
The items, which were his Christmas and New Year presents, were presented to children between the ages of three and 12 years. The items include clothes, foot wares, bicycles, hats, children's toys and cars. Making the presentations at the various communities, Mr Buah, who is=
also the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, expressed his desire to support children in the constituency.
Later at a dinner at Aiyinasi, the MP for Evaloe-Gwira, Madam Cather= ine Afeku, thanked Mr Buah for fostering closer ties with her to accelerate t= he pace of development in Nzemaland.
She said the fact that they belonged to different political parties d= oes not make them enemies and used the occasion to congratulate Mr Buah on hi= s appointment as Deputy Minister.
Madam Afeku was optimistic that the New Patriotic Party would be vote= d back to power in 2012. Mr Buah said Ghanaians voted the National Democratic Congress (NDC) f= or a change to develop the nation as a result the party would be retained in=
power come 2012.
The NDC Propaganda Secretary for Ellembelle, Mr Jubriew Alhassan, sai= d President John Atta Mills constantly sought the face of God during the presidential race and as such he was a God-chosen leader, who is committe= d to the well-being of Ghanaians.
