Dome-Faase Chief appeals for development

Nii Okunim Adama I, Chief of Dome-Faase, has appealed to the government to provide the community with social amenities to improve upon the living standards of the people.

He said the provision of potable water, a market, a police station and a clinic would solve the problems of the people in travelling long distances to assess healthcare.

Nii Adama made the appeal in an interview with Ghana News Agency at Dome-faase in the Ga South District of the Greater Accra Region on Thursday.

He explained that the community with about 500 inhabitants who are mostly farmers find it very difficult to find market for their foodstuff and also have to travel very far to access healthcare at nearby places.

Nii Adama said due to the deplorable nature of the roads, life had become very unbearable for the people and called for the upgrading of Dome-Faase-Obom, Adjen Kotoku-Obom and Nsawam-Dome-faase-Obom roads

He said the community through its own efforts had been able to provide the town with crèche, primary and junior high school, adding that the provision of additional educational infrastructure would promote education.

Nii Adama appealed to the Amasaman District Police to provide the community with adequate security since lack of the service is hampering day to day activities.

He said the activities of land guards are also a hindrance and must be curbed.

He advised land developers to desist from encroaching on the Dome-Faase lands since “Dome-faase land is not a cloth selling at Makola Market’’.

Yomo Dede Aawon Bruku, a Senior citizen, called on the government to enact a law banning indecent dressing in the country.
