EP Church Pastor urges unity among church membership

Tsito-Awudome (V/R), Dec. 12, GNA - A Reverend Minister has expressed concern about the increasing inability of the Church to sustain cordiality between its own members. He said in every congregation of any Church, there was some form of lingering resentment of one group by another, mostly a Pastor against his Elders, or conflict between individuals.

Rev. Emmanuel Agbeti, a Priest of the Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church, Ghana, was preaching at the Awudome District 2005 Anniversary at Tsito on Sunday under the theme: "Breaking New Grounds for Positive Results". He said the Church should reflect unity and not mistrust, saying that no collective effort succeeds without unity. Rev. Agbeti who is a staff of the Inspectorate Division at the Volta Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES), charged the Church to break new grounds by going into projects that would impact positively on youth employment and also reach out to their sick, old and disadvantaged members with material help.

Rev. Mrs Dinah Abbey-Mensah, District Pastor, said there was the need for the Church to collaborate with traditional authorities in tackling problems of society.
