Some early voters at various polling centers in the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency of the Eastern Region have shared their expectations with GhanaWeb ahead of the commencement of the exercise.

There were no signs of voting activities at polling stations in some polling centers in the area visited between 5am and 5:30am.

Voters, EC officials, and party agents were all yet to arrive at the centers visited.

However, a few voters and party agents started trickling in at around 5.45am.

Speaking in an interview, Emmanuel Lano, NDC Branch Chairman, Accra Station, Lower Manya Krobo, encouraged voters to come out in their numbers to exercise their franchise.

Another, Sackitey Victoria, a resident of Hwekper, explained that she arrived early to enable her vote on time to return home to take care of a sick relative.

She similarly anticipates a smooth voting process on the day.

Mr. David Kwao, another voter, told GhanaWeb's Eastern Regional Correspondent Michael Oberteye at the Accra Station polling center that he wanted to vote early and return home.

Sharing his expectations, he said he anticipates a smooth exercise throughout the process.

Officials are setting up canopies as they await the arrival of voting materials.
