East Ayawaso MP donates exams materials to candidates

Alhaji Mahama Toure Naizer, Member of Parliament (MP) for East Ayawaso at the weekend donated 1,728, Mathematical sets and other examination materials to schools within his constituency.

The MP also donated 100 bags of cement to victims of the Wednesday, June 3 floods along the Nima drains.

The Mathematical sets intended to aid candidates of the Basic Education Certificate Examination in all junior high schools, was presented on behalf of the MP by Alhaji Williams Olabodi, Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress.

Alhaji Olabodi said the MP is of the view that education is the bedrock of every country hence his commitment towards promoting academic pursuit as a priority in the constituency.

He said: “You have not gotten to school by mistake, you are here because you have worked hard and you want to make it in life. To be successful in life, the basic tool is education. You have to take your education serious...You are at a cross road in your education because this is where your future starts.

“In you we have future presidents, MPs, clergy, teachers, doctors and many others.”

The Constituency Chairman, advised the students not to bend the rules of the “game”.

“If you want to be successful, do not cheat. Please don’t send foreign materials or indulge in any examination malpractice. Believe in yourself and believe that you have made it.”

The Circuit Supervisor of the Ayawaso Sub-Metro of Education, Madam Naa Adoley Dodoo who received the items, thanked the MP for the gesture and called on other MP's to emulate his example.
