Nyankomase Ahenkro (C/R), Jan 10, GNA - Mr Eric Ambrose Owusu, Assistant Director of Education in charge of Private Schools in the Assin North District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES), has been enstooled Saamanhene of the Assin Atandasu Traditional Area. Odeefuo Tibu Asare II, Omanhene of the traditional area created the title, which could be interpreted as "the body guard" of the paramountcy for him under the stool name of Nana Owusu Tenase in recognition of his contributions to the development of the area.
In a speech at the outdooring and swearing of oath the new chief, Odeefuo Asare reminded the youth that their were being monitored and those who deserved would be rewarded at the appropriate time. He advised the new chief to live up to expectation and assure him of elevation to a higher position if he performed well.
The Omanhene advised chiefs to give themselves to God saying, "it is only the Almighty God who can make you surmount problems facing the chieftaincy institution".
Nana Owusu Tenase assured the Omanhene and the people that he would not disappoint them and thanked them for the confidence reposed in him.
