Kumasi, Aug 23, GNA - Shalom Complex School at Adabraka, near Pankrono in the Kumasi metropolis, has honoured Dr Anthony Akoto-Osei, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning for "his tremendous contributions towards the development of his constituency." A citation accompanying the award, which was read at a forum in Pankrono on Sunday, said his winning of the Old-Tafo seat as a Member of Parliament (MP) attested to his good works.
It read: "You have proved your diligence and competence on the numerous projects you have embarked upon in your constituency". The projects included electricity, water, road networks, health and educational programmes, as well as support for religious activities. Madam Emelia Kusi, Proprietress of the School, commended Dr Akoto-Osei for showing concern towards the welfare and development of children and urged him to bring more development programmes to the constituency.
Dr Akoto-Osei thanked the school for the honour done him and was happy that the people appreciated his small contribution and pledged to do more towards the total development of the constituency. The MP advised the people to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in order to have quality health care at an affordable cost.
