Breme (B/A) March 21, GNA - Ms Veronica Essuman-Nelson, the Tano District Director of Education, has advised parents and teachers to remove obstacles militated against teaching and learning in their communities.
"If there is a rift between teachers and parents, effective teaching cannot go on," she said and called for closer interaction between the two sides.
Ms Essuman-Nelson was addressing a meeting attended by the local chief, teachers and the people of Breme, near Bechem to discuss how to improve the falling standard of education in the community.
"For education to thrive well in the community, there is the need for parents and teachers to interact frequently,'' she said.
Nana Amankwaa Boakye-Yiadom, chief of the town, appealed to Ms Essuman-Nelson to post qualified and dedicated teachers to junior secondary schools to handle key subjects like science, pre-technical skills and agricultural science.
