Educationist installed as Omanhene for Breman Essiam

Breman Essiam (C/R), Aug. 13, GNA - A 39-year-old educationist, Mr. Emmanuel Baidoo, has been installed as Omanhene of Breman Essiam Traditional Area in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District under the stool name of Odeefo Afankwa 111, Odeefo Afankwa succeeded his late uncle, Nana Atta Banafo Poku 11, who died five years ago.

Swearing the oath of allegiance before the acting President and Queen mother of the Traditional Area, Nana Efua Esiwaa 11 and the people, Odeefo Afankwa said the development of the area and education were his priorities.

Other areas are the development and improvement of culture, sanitation, security, trade, tourism and sports. The District Chief Executive for the area, Mr Peter Light Koomson, commended the king makers for the peaceful manner in which the installation was conducted.

He called on communities in the area to live in peace, unity and rally behind their Omanhene for rapid development. Mr Koomson said roads in the town had been awarded on contract for tarrying while roads leading to cocoa growing areas would also be considered.

He appealed to the citizens to support and contribute to the Nana Efua Esiwaa 11 Education Endowment Fund.
