Winneba (C/R), Dec.18, GNA - The Chairman of the Effutu Electoral Taskforce, ASP Jordan Quaye has commended the people of the Effutu Constituency for comporting themselves, which resulted in a peaceful elections in the area.
He has therefore appealed to the people to demonstrate similar attitude and behaviour, to record an incident free election during the Presidential run-off on December 28. ASP Jordan Quaye said this in a press release to the Ghana News Agency in Winneba. ASP Jordan Quaye who is also the Effutu Municipal Police Commander expressed appreciation to the political parties and their supporters in the municipality for comporting themselves and helping to prevent violence during the elections.
ASP Quaye also congratulated the security services personnel detailed to man the polling stations in the constituency for their high sense of discipline and hard work that also contributed to the peaceful elections. The Taskforce chairman also expressed gratitude to the media for a non-provocative and fair reportage which led to a peaceful election and hope that they would exhibit similar attitude during the run-off. 18 Dec. 08
