UT Life Insurance Company Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection to fully refurbish the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra.
The Children’s Park would be developed to give children and families a platform for recreation, give children the opportunity to play and relax and to bring back life to families.
UT Life Insurance Company Limited is taking on this renovation as part of its corporate social responsibility as the company focuses on life and family, and also to support the Government and the Ministry Gender, Children and Social Protection.
The Sector Minister, Nana Oye Lithur, thanked the company for the agreement to completely renovate the park.
Mr Tiibu Aziz Rayamah, Managing Director UT Life Insurance Company Limited, said it would bring the park to international standard for kids and adults to have fun.
"Security will also be provided to ensure people do the right thing, and the walls will be painted regularly," he said.
He said the company would make sure the park was managed properly, and the safety of families put first.
Mr Rayamah revealed that the company would spend approximately Gh? 150,000.00 for the first year, and expressed the hope that the amount would be increased in subsequent years.
In addition, the fence walls would be painted and branded, while the washrooms would be renovated, and security guards provided.
