The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ellembelle constituency in the Western Region, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has supplied two thousand five hundred (2500) pieces of mathematical sets to this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in his constituency.

The gesture was to motivate and encourage them to successfully write their final exams.

The NDC communications officer in the Ellembelle Constituency, Kwesi Hanson made the presentation on behalf of Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah.

This year's examination is expected to commence on Monday, July 8, 2024, and end on Friday, July 12, 2024 across the country.

Speaking to the media after the presentation, Kwesi Hanson applauded the MP for his avowed commitment towards good quality education delivery in Ellembelle.

He observed that it was not the first time the MP had donated learning inputs to BECE candidates since he became MP in 2009.

He said the MP's vision was to support children to become responsible in his constituency and Ghana at large.

"In fact, our MP, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah loves education that is why every year he gives mathematical sets to all BECE candidates. He has been organizing mocks for BECE candidates. This is what an MP must do, if you are an MP you have to think about your people and our MP is doing a fantastic job," he said.

"His contribution to the promotion of education in the area and students' welfare is very commendable," he added.

He assured the Education directorate of the MP's resolve to continue to support education in the area.

"The MP has pledged to support any educational activity in the constituency and his track records show, he is an action man," he emphasized.

Kwesi Hanson called on the candidates to take their exams seriously to come out with flying colours.

He reiterated that the next NDC government would review the current free SHS to make it better for all Ghanaians.

"The current free SHS Akufo Addo and Bawumia are running is not good, they are running quantity education but we will come to power in 2025 to make it good and better so let us support the coming back of John Mahama", he stated.

He, therefore, took the opportunity to appeal to the good people of Ellembelle to rally behind Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah and retain him in power come December 7.

On his part, Mr. Wilfred Adodoadji, the Ellembelle District Director of Education, thanked the MP for the kind gesture.

He promised to distribute the mathematical sets to all the BECE candidates before the start of the exams on Monday.
