Ellembelle MP treats children

Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, Mr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has thrown an end of year party for children and the disabled in his Constituency.

About 5,000 children and the disabled congregated at the Elderly Care Project Center at Ambainu for merry making.

The children also received exercise books and other stationery to enhance their academic work and boost their morale for education.

Addressing them, Mr. Buah, who is also the Minister for Energy, said Christmas was a period for children as the Saviour Jesus Christ, came into the world as a child.

Therefore, he said, there was the need to put smiles on the faces of children during the period.

He stressed the need for people in the area to live in peace and harmony to pave way for development.

The MP stated that he would continue to champion the cause of the vulnerable, a vision, which has led to the establishment of the Elderly Care Center at Ambainu to cater for the needs of indigenes and their children.

Mr. Kofi Buah reminded the children that as future leaders, it behooved them to pursue education to the highest levels, and be prepared to administer the affairs of the nation in the future.

He assured them of his personal commitment to improve their well-being through education.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ellembelle, Mr. Daniel K. Shun, lauded Mr Buah for such an initiative, which he described as a novelty.
