The donation which is under the auspices of Partnership for Poverty Reduction (PPR) a non-profit making organisation established by the son of the first Muslim Vice president of Ghana, is aimed at resourcing farmers in the area ahead of this year’s farming season.
It is scheduled to take place at the Yendi community Centre with 1200 bottles of Weedicide, 580 cutlasses, 340 Wellington boots, 600 bags of fertilizer (urea and NPK) 100 Napsacks and 300 anti-snakes serum.
Late last year, several women received skills training and start-up capital under the same auspices to commence their respective businesses.

According to organizers of the event, the women after successfully undergoing the training, received the needed support.
Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama explained that the training and subsequent presentation of start-up capital to the women is in line with the objectives and vision of the late former Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama who is the originator of a charity foundation which he the son is religiously and vigorously pursuing.
